In a remarkable gathering, the Emirates Environmental Group held its 29th Annual Corporate Gala Dinner in Dubai, acknowledging 52 organisations for their exceptional contributions to environmental sustainability. This prestigious event drew diplomats, corporate executives, policymakers, and advocates, reinforcing the UAE’s dedication to sustainable development.

Under the patronage of Sheikh Salim Bin Sultan Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the gala underscored the significance of resilience and visionary leadership in light of ongoing regional challenges. Speakers highlighted sustainability as an essential component for long-term stability, environmental preservation, and economic diversification in the region.

Keynote speaker Dr. Nawal Al Hosany spoke about the UAE's position as a global frontrunner in climate action and renewable energy efforts. EEG Chairperson Dr. Habiba Al Mar’ashi emphasized that embracing sustainability is no longer an option but a strategic imperative integrated into governance, economic strategy, and social responsibility.

In 2025, EEG made noteworthy strides through national initiatives, engaging over 738,000 students and successfully diverting more than 1.7 million kilograms of waste from landfills. Additionally, the organisation planted over 14,000 trees and mobilised countless volunteers for environmental efforts. The event showcased the critical contributions of both public and private entities in achieving tangible sustainability results.
