Significant Medical Supplies Sent to Gaza from Dubai

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Following the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Dubai Humanitarian has successfully orchestrated a significant humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.

Using its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund (GHIF), the organization has managed the overland transportation of 22.3 metric tonnes of crucial medical supplies. This shipment, which was conveyed via a convoy of three trucks, consists of life-saving resources provided by the World Health Organization, intended to meet urgent healthcare requirements for around 110,000 individuals impacted by the ongoing crisis.

Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, affirmed the organization's dedication despite global challenges. He remarked that ongoing supply chain disruptions have not slowed their mission, as they continuously collaborate with partners to ensure the prompt delivery of vital assistance to affected areas.

He also underscored that Dubai Humanitarian is fully operational, actively mobilizing resources and utilizing its Global Humanitarian Impact Fund to deliver support effectively, even in complex situations.

Since the start of this year, international organizations partnered with Dubai Humanitarian have provided assistance to over 40 countries. This success is made feasible through robust coordination with government agencies, humanitarian bodies, and commercial allies, effectively utilizing advanced multimodal logistics to support global humanitarian supply chains.

Dubai continues to solidify its role as a prominent global center for humanitarian response, ensuring that essential aid reaches those in need swiftly and efficiently.
