Dubai Chamber Highlights GCC as Key Driver of Export Surge in 2025

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

According to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, member exports and re-exports surged remarkably in the first nine months of 2025, positioning the GCC as a pivotal market for Dubai’s export activities. The latest statistics reveal that regional markets have become essential to the export landscape, emphasizing the enduring significance of Gulf economies for businesses in the emirate.

The data provided by the chamber shows that GCC nations represented 48.2% of all exports and re-exports from its members, totaling AED 125.3 billion. Strong demand from Gulf partners solidified the region's prime position in Dubai's trading framework during this timeframe.

Following the GCC, the Middle East outside this bloc ranked second, contributing 29.1% with a value of AED 75.7 billion. African markets showed robust connections, capturing a 10% share that equated to AED 26.1 billion.

The Asia-Pacific region held fourth place, accounting for 8.4% of member exports valued at AED 21.9 billion. European markets came in next with a share of 3% amounting to AED 7.8 billion, while North America represented 0.7% with approximated AED 1.8 billion. Finally, Latin America accounted for 0.4%, just exceeding AED 1 billion.

In conclusion, from January to September 2025, Dubai Chamber members’ exports and re-exports reached around AED 260 billion, marking a 16% increase from the previous year. This growth underscores Dubai’s expanding trade landscape and the chamber's pivotal role in fostering the emirate’s business environment.
