Telugu film mogul Dil Raju recently garnered significant attention following various media claims of a major pan-India film in the works with Bollywood icon Salman Khan. These reports quickly circulated online, igniting fan enthusiasm for an anticipated collaboration. However, Dil Raju has officially set the record straight, confirming that these rumors have no basis in reality.
In a succinct statement, Dil Raju clarified that he is not embarking on any new project with Salman Khan currently. His primary focus is instead on an upcoming film that stars Akshay Kumar, which will be helmed by the acclaimed director Anees Bazmee. This project is currently in the pre-production phase.
Raju’s team mentioned that a mix-up of past rumors with current reports has contributed to this confusion. They stressed that the circulating rumors lack accuracy and indicated that official announcements will be made only when appropriate.
In their statement, the team highlighted that the latest rumors were “unfounded” and had significantly “exaggerated” the situation. They urged caution against linking outdated speculations to contemporary developments, as it fosters misinformation.
Moreover, the production team conveyed that they are operating prudently and intend to share details regarding the film’s cast, plot, and release date only after everything is officially finalized. They gently requested media agencies to refrain from disseminating unverified narratives. The team underscored the importance of waiting for proper confirmations before posting any information.
Along with the fallout surrounding the Salman Khan project, speculations have also emerged regarding whether the upcoming Akshay Kumar film could be a Hindi remake of the Telugu film Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which starred Venkatesh Daggubati. This film follows the story of former IPS officer YD Raju, who spearheads a major kidnapping investigation.
Nevertheless, this information remains unverified. A report from Pinkvilla noted that although Akshay Kumar has previously watched the Venkatesh film as an admirer, he does not plan to take part in a Hindi remake. The report further stated that Akshay has been meeting with Anees Bazmee for another forthcoming collaboration, which aligns with Dil Raju’s recent announcement.
Akshay Kumar has a busy slate ahead, including projects like Haiwaan, Bhagam Bhaag 2, Welcome To The Jungle, Hera Pheri 3, along with other unannounced ventures. Fans are eager to learn more about his collaboration with Dil Raju.
For the moment, what is certain is Dil Raju’s dedication to his film with Akshay Kumar, directed by Anees Bazmee. The film remains in its initial stages of planning, with more updates expected shortly. The producer has made clear that current rumors regarding a Salman Khan project are unfounded.
This clarification has alleviated confusion among fans and media alike. Anticipation is now building to learn more about the exciting collaboration between Dil Raju and Akshay Kumar, which promises to be a noteworthy project once formally announced.
