Four years have passed since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. What many thought might be a short conflict has turned into a long and painful war. As Ukraine marks this anniversary, the country reflects on loss, courage, and the hope for peace.

The humanitarian situation remains serious. Aid groups continue to provide food, medicine, and shelter. Winter months have made life even harder for those without stable homes or electricity. Children have grown up during wartime, knowing more about air raid sirens than playground games.
As the war enters its fifth year, Ukrainians face a mix of sorrow and determination. They mourn those they have lost, but they also hold on to hope. They believe in a future where their country is peaceful and secure.
This anniversary is not only about looking back. It is also about asking what comes next. The war has changed Ukraine, Russia, and the wider world. It has tested alliances and reshaped global politics. Most of all, it has shown the strength of ordinary people during extraordinary hardship.
The world continues to watch. The people of Ukraine continue to endure. And the hope for peace remains alive, even after four long years of war.
