On November 21, 2025, President Donald Trump reignited his ongoing feud with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. In a post on Truth Social, Trump lambasted Kimmel as “a man with no talent and very poor television ratings,” urging for the cancellation of his show. This criticism followed the East Coast airing of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Their contentious relationship is well-documented, with Trump often responding to Kimmel's jokes and critiques. Kimmel has not hesitated to lampoon Trump's policies and personal choices during his nightly monologues.
In typical fashion, Kimmel responded to Trump’s latest remarks on his Thursday night show, noting the President's low ratings as well. He humorously appreciated Trump for tuning in live rather than online, quipping, “Hi, Mr. President, thanks for keeping us on the air… ironically, viewers like you keep the show going.”
Kimmel also referenced a prior suspension of his show last September, which followed Kimmel's comments regarding Charlie Kirk's assassination. Trump had welcomed the suspension, labeling Kimmel as “ratings-challenged“ and congratulating the network for their decision; however, it was lifted in less than a week due to public outcry.
During his monologue, Kimmel humorously addressed Trump’s recent comments about a Bloomberg reporter and the Epstein files, recalling Trump’s “quiet, Piggy” remark. He jested, “We’ll be a team. Let’s ride off into the sunset together… and until then, quiet, Piggy!” He concluded with a light-hearted promise to Trump: “I’ll go when you go,” making it clear he intends to remain on air.
As Kimmel's contract nears its conclusion at the end of the season, fans eagerly await his decision on whether he will continue. The ongoing Trump-Kimmel feud remains a hot topic, further fueled by their exchanges on social media.
This episode underscores the persistent clash between the former President and the late-night comedian, showcasing the intricate interplay between politics, entertainment, and media influence in contemporary American society.
