Melania Trump Reveals 2025 White House Christmas Décor: Home is Where Heart Is

Post by : Mina Rahman

First Lady Melania Trump has presented the festive decorations for the White House Christmas 2025, themed “Home is Where the Heart Is.” While she frequently resides in New York and Florida, she highlighted that the essence of home transcends mere physical confines, focusing on emotional warmth and comfort.

This year's decor is notably more compact due to ongoing renovations of the East Wing, which is set to become a new $300 million ballroom as commissioned by President Donald Trump. Nevertheless, the decorations are splendid, showcasing over 50 Christmas trees, countless decorative butterflies, a grand gingerbread version of the White House, and an impressive Lego portrait of the 79-year-old president.

Central to the holiday exhibit is an 18-foot concolor fir from Michigan, adorned with golden stars to honor families of fallen US service members. Red, white, and blue accents have been incorporated in celebration of the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence, alongside specially crafted baubles that promote Melania’s “Be Best” campaign aimed at children’s education and wellness.

This year, the decorations are confined to the main residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with the East Wing unavailable for traditional displays. Visitors attending seasonal events will have the opportunity to admire the festive decor throughout the mansion's numerous halls and rooms.

President Trump added a humorous touch to the festivities during a White House Christmas party, joking, “We have a little more than three years left, and three years for Trump is an eternity.” With his second term lasting until 2029, the First Family has more time to cherish holiday traditions in this iconic residence.

The White House Christmas this year blends patriotic elements, heartfelt personal touches from the First Lady, and reflections on American heritage, crafting a memorable holiday atmosphere for guests and citizens alike.
