Indian cricket sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a health update following his recent hospitalization at Aditya Birla Hospital due to significant stomach pains experienced during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. He faced discomfort while playing for Mumbai against Rajasthan and was later diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis. Reports indicated a 2 kg weight loss over 48 hours, with medical advice to rest for the next 7-10 days.
Jaiswal expressed gratitude towards his fans via a post on X (previously Twitter), stating, "I'm truly thankful for all the kind wishes. I'm recuperating well, appreciative of the excellent medical care I received, and eager to get back to playing soon!"
According to insiders, Jaiswal may have experienced food poisoning from a hotel meal. Fortunately, his condition improved following prompt treatment that included an ultrasound and CT scan. Doctors have instructed him to continue with his medication and to rest adequately.
Due to his health situation, there is a possibility that Jaiswal will miss the early matches of the domestic one-day Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 24. Nevertheless, he is anticipated to be fit for India's upcoming ODIs against New Zealand.
Throughout the SMAT encounter, Jaiswal coped with stomach discomfort, which intensified post-game. With the right care and rest, the promising batter is on a recovery trajectory and remains hopeful about returning to the cricket field soon.
