Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar continues to perform exceptionally well as it reaches its third Friday with impressive earnings. As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the movie garnered Rs 22.5 crore on Day 15, pushing its net total in India to Rs 483 crore. With this strong momentum, it is anticipated to surpass the Rs 500 crore threshold domestically by Day 16.
Internationally, the film has also shown robust performance, with a worldwide gross now at Rs 710.5 crore, solidifying its position as one of the top Hindi films of 2025. On Friday, overall occupancy in Hindi cinema was at 35.95%, beginning at 16.68% in the morning shows, climbing to 33.96% in the afternoon, 42.86% in the evening, and peaking at 50.28% during nighttime screenings. The Delhi-NCR region led with 1,203 shows at 36.25% occupancy, while Mumbai hosted 927 shows with approximately 36% occupancy.
These stellar figures make Dhurandhar the highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh’s career, marking a significant commercial success following a series of moderate performers. Currently, it holds the title of the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, second only to Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava. The film's solid domestic and international collections indicate it may soon exceed Chhaava’s lifetime earnings of Rs 807.91 crore. It has already surpassed the global totals of well-known hits like 2.0 and Gadar 2.
Nonetheless, Dhurandhar is still behind Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Rs 553.87 crore) and last year's Stree 2 (Rs 597.99 crore) in terms of domestic income. The absence of significant Hindi releases in the upcoming weeks is likely to support its sustained success. The next major Bollywood release will be Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan, scheduled for Christmas. Its primary competition arises from James Cameron’s Hollywood venture Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opened around Rs 20 crore in India on its first day.
Set against the backdrop of Pakistan, this gangster drama is the first part of a two-film saga, with the sequel expected to release during Eid 2026. Ranveer Singh leads an ensemble cast that includes Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
