Digital Dubai has unveiled the AI Workforce Transformation Program (AI+), a comprehensive initiative designed to ready Dubai's government staff for the advancing landscape of artificial intelligence. This program seeks to equip 50,000 employees with the knowledge to seamlessly incorporate AI into their daily roles and enhance public service delivery.
Developed alongside the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, this initiative falls within the framework of the Dubai Future Foundation. It embodies Dubai's commitment to pioneering digital change across all governmental sectors.
Aiming for an AI-Driven Government Framework
The AI+ program intends to elevate AI literacy among government employees at all levels. Its core objective is to empower staff to harness AI tools, leading to improved efficiency, informed decision-making, and enhanced public service delivery.
Through curated, role-specific learning pathways, the initiative aspires to cultivate a workforce adept in creating forward-thinking, data-centric government services that effectively meet citizens’ expectations.
Visionary Leadership Behind the Program
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, asserted that government personnel are evolving into proactive developers of smart services rather than mere users of technology. He remarked that the program aligns with Dubai’s ambition for an intelligence-based governmental model in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
DGHR Director General H.E. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi emphasized that fostering talent and readying them for the future, particularly in AI, is crucial for enhancing governmental efficiency and driving innovation.
H.E. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, remarked that the AI+ initiative fortifies Dubai’s AI ecosystem by transforming cutting-edge technologies into effective, impactful applications for governance.
Tailored Training Paths for Varied Professional Roles
The AI+ program encompasses customized training tracks for various job roles in government, including:
Leadership Track: Emphasizing AI strategies, international case studies, and policy debates
Chief AI Officers Track: Practical workshops for implementing Dubai's AI framework
Products & Services Track: Comprehensive guidance from concepts to AI case development
Managers Track: Strategies for AI integration in teams and resource optimization

Advancing Dubai's Digital Landscape
By empowering staff with cutting-edge AI capabilities, this initiative aspires to enhance productivity, boost institutional effectiveness, and accelerate innovation across public services. It further cements Dubai’s status as a frontrunner in digital governance and AI-led evolution.
