Dubai has made noteworthy advancements in its flagship stormwater management upgrade in Deira, with the project now 36% complete. The AED 500 million initiative is integral to bolstering the emirate’s drainage systems and flood control measures.

The initiative encompasses numerous critical locations, including:
Al Qusais (1 & 2), Oud Al Muteena, Mizhar 3, Al Twar (1 & 3), Muhaisnah 4, Al Nahda 2, Al Qusais Industrial Area 1, Al Garhoud, Casablanca Street, the Dubai Airport area, and Al Rashidiya.

22 km of drainage pipelines installed in Phase 1
Pipe diameters reaching up to 2.5 meters for enhanced flow
Construction of a new pumping station near Dubai Creek
