The eagerly awaited wedding of Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana (29) and music composer Palaash Muchhal (30), originally set for November 23, has been indefinitely postponed following health crises in both families. Smriti's father was hospitalized initially, and soon after, Palaash also fell ill, leading to the cancellation of the celebratory events.
In the aftermath of the postponement, rumors circulated on social media regarding potential relationship troubles, particularly when Smriti deleted several Instagram posts with Palaash. This unexpected action added fuel to speculation about their relationship stability.
Compounding the situation, the event management team shared a cryptic social media post, stating:
"We don't always reach the finish line in every match of Life that we play, but it’s the sportsman Spirit that counts... Our team has put in immense effort, with Joy & Pride, and they truly deserve recognition! We’ll see you soon, Champion."
The message tagged multiple professionals involved in the wedding planning, leading fans to ponder the future of the nuptials. While there were whispers of a new wedding date, reportedly December 7, Smriti's brother, Shravan Mandhana, confirmed that no official date had been established.
Reactions on social media have been varied. Supporters of Smriti have voiced their encouragement, commending her strength during these tumultuous times, while others expressed confusion over the event company's unclear communication. Recently, Palaash was seen at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram in Vrindavan, indicating he might be seeking spiritual comfort, while Smriti has chosen to stay out of the media spotlight.
The uncertainty surrounding the postponement and vague social media updates continues to leave fans on edge regarding the couple’s wedding future. Despite the ambiguity, both Smriti and Palaash are receiving abundant support from cricket enthusiasts and followers of Palaash Muchhal’s music.
