A distinguished delegation from the General Women’s Union (GWU) conducted a vital meeting with officials from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) during their official visit to the People’s Republic of China. This meeting received significant backing from the UAE Embassy in Beijing.
This assembly is part of the overarching agenda of the UAE-China Businesswomen Council, aiming to fortify institutional collaborations and foster knowledge exchange on development-oriented international partnerships. This initiative aligns with both nations' shared vision of promoting economic growth, innovation, and sustainable cooperation.
Leading the UAE delegation was H.E. Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the GWU, while the Chinese delegation included Yu Wei, Deputy Director-General of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, among other senior officials.
In their discussions, both parties reviewed the CPC Central Committee’s rich experience in managing international relations. A particular focus was placed on the role of its International Department, which facilitates interactions with over 600 political entities and organizations globally, serving as a benchmark for structured international dialogue and institutional collaboration.
Both sides explored the potential for initiating joint endeavors centered on knowledge sharing and capacity-building programs. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency while supporting sustainable development in accordance with evolving global partnerships.
This meeting underscores the UAE General Women’s Union’s commitment to activating the UAE-China Businesswomen Council, a pivotal outcome of the initiative for Emirati women entrepreneurs in friendly nations. This initiative was initiated under the esteemed guidance of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the GWU, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
Designed to empower Emirati women, the initiative aims to elevate their global profile and expand their engagement in international economic collaboration with strategic partners.
In her concluding remarks, Noura Al Suwaidi highlighted that these interactions are vital for strengthening cross-border institutional collaborations and further empowering Emirati women to be key players in global development initiatives.
The Chinese representatives praised the visionary leadership of the UAE and acknowledged the continuous efforts of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in furthering women’s empowerment, describing the UAE model as a leading benchmark both regionally and globally.
