UAE Decries Mosque Bombing in Homs, Syria

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has expressed its strong condemnation of a terrorist bombing that struck a mosque in Homs, Syria, resulting in numerous casualties among innocent civilians.

In a formal statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE voiced its firm rejection of such violent acts. The ministry emphasized the nation's unwavering opposition to terrorism in all its manifestations, noting that such heinous crimes jeopardize security, stability, and the peaceful coexistence of people.

The statement highlighted the particularly egregious nature of attacks on places of worship, as they not only target civilians but also desecrate sacred religious spaces. The UAE reaffirmed that there is no justification for extremism and violence, which must be confronted through collective international efforts.

The Ministry conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims from the attack. It also expressed solidarity with the government and citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, wishing a quick and full recovery to all those hurt.

The UAE has continually advocated for global collaboration in combating terrorism and ensuring the safety of civilians, striving to foster peace, tolerance, and stability in the region and beyond.
