The website works as a search and savings platform. It does not manufacture or directly ship medicines. Instead, it helps users look up specific prescription drugs and then shows lower-price options. In many cases, the site gives discount coupons or directs buyers to approved sellers where medicines are offered at reduced rates. The idea is to cut extra layers of cost between drug makers and patients.

High drug prices have been a major problem in the United States for many years. Many families skip doses or delay treatment because medicines are too expensive. Even insured patients sometimes face high out-of-pocket costs. This has created strong public pressure on government and companies to find new solutions.
