RTA Celebrates 737 Bus Drivers' Exceptional Service in Dubai 2025

In a significant recognition initiative, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of 737 public bus drivers throughout 2025. This commendation acknowledges their unwavering dedication to safety, discipline, and service quality, fully adhering to established performance criteria.

This initiative underscores RTA's ongoing commitment to enhancing public transport services while fortifying safety and quality benchmarks, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and an improved travel experience.

Marwan Al Zarooni, Director of Buses at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, emphasized that this recognition initiative aligns with RTA’s strategic objectives concerning health, safety, security, and customer contentment. He noted that it cultivates a safe transport atmosphere and encourages innovative, sustainable mobility solutions.

Al Zarooni elaborated on the rigorous annual assessment of drivers, which takes multiple critical factors into account. These factors include adherence to traffic regulations, road safety and security measures, avoidance of violations, service quality, professionalism, the absence of customer complaints, and overall discipline.

He congratulated all awarded drivers for their dedicated service, commending their persistent efforts in delivering a reliable and high-quality transport system that embodies Dubai’s progressive image and upholds the UAE’s esteemed global standing.

Additionally, he stated that this program fosters healthy competition among drivers, heightens awareness of road safety, and inspires employees to uphold exceptional service standards that are in line with global best practices.

RTA also reported significant growth in public bus ridership, which reached 197.2 million passengers in 2025—a 4.9% increase over 2024. This statistic marks the highest growth in recent years and signals a rising public trust in Dubai’s transport infrastructure.

The honored drivers expressed gratitude for this recognition, conveying that such initiatives motivate them to maintain high standards of performance, further demonstrating RTA’s commitment to valuing and developing its workforce.
