Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Dubai South has established a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emirates NBD, aimed at fostering growth among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and facilitating their access to banking services within the free zone.

The agreement was executed by Saif Al-Ali, Director of Licensing and Free Zone Management at Dubai Aviation City Corporation, alongside Hamad Mohamed Zayed, Group Head of Business Banking at Emirates NBD.

Through this collaboration, Emirates NBD will implement streamlined procedures for corporate bank account openings and present tailored banking options to cater to the evolving needs of businesses situated in Dubai South.

This initiative seeks to ensure that companies can quickly and efficiently access vital financial services. This move will further solidify Dubai South’s status as a business-friendly hub, empowering entrepreneurs to thrive and expand their operations.

Nabil Al Kindi, Group CEO of Dubai South, remarked that this partnership underscores the organization's dedication to establishing a comprehensive business ecosystem that nurtures SME growth, enhances efficiency, and promotes sustainable success. He emphasized that the improved access to banking services enables businesses to concentrate on scaling and development.

Meanwhile, Hamad Mohamed Zayed conveyed that Emirates NBD is unwavering in its support for Dubai and the UAE's economic advancement. He indicated that the bank will provide SMEs and businesses in Dubai South with seamless and comprehensive banking solutions to address their evolving requirements.

He further noted that this collaboration aligns with Dubai's vision to broaden its economy by 2033 and bolster its standing as a preeminent global economic center.

Dubai South serves as a vast master-planned city designed around a cohesive aviation and logistics ecosystem. Positioned around Al Maktoum International Airport, it offers robust connectivity across air, land, and sea, making it a pivotal location for business, residence, and investment.
