Dialogue Between Qatar PM and Russia's FM on US-Iran Ceasefire

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, engaged in a telephone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister.

Throughout their discussion, the leaders evaluated the state of bilateral ties while considering enhanced cooperation between Qatar and Russia. A significant topic was the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, as they also reflected on recent regional events.

Both officials underscored the necessity of ongoing efforts to mitigate tensions and strengthen stability in the area. Sheikh Mohammed urged all parties to positively react to current mediation initiatives.

He highlighted the importance of tackling the underlying issues of the crisis through constructive dialogue and peaceful means. The Prime Minister called for a long-lasting agreement capable of preventing escalations and ensuring enduring security in the region.
