Post by : Mina Rahman

Raihan Vadra, the son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and businessman Robert Vadra, has officially announced his engagement to Aviva Baig, a Delhi-based photographer. The couple, who have been together for seven years, come from families with strong connections, further solidifying their partnership.

Aviva Baig boasts a notable background in media and communication and is an accomplished visual artist. Educated at Modern School in Delhi, she earned a degree in Journalism and Communication from OP Jindal Global University. Passionate about photography, she co-founded Atelier 11, a reputable studio that collaborates with various agencies and clients across India. Aviva’s photographic focus lies in depicting everyday moments in a captivating manner, leading to recognition at numerous exhibitions, including contributions to the 'You Cannot Miss This' exhibit at Method Gallery in 2023 and the India Art Fair’s Young Collector Programme.

Her experience in the media and communication sector is diverse, having served as a freelance producer at PlusRymn, junior project manager at PROPAGANDA, and marketing intern at Art Chain India. Additionally, she was editor-in-chief of The Journal at I-Parliament and completed internships at notable magazines like Verve Magazine India and Creative IMAGE Magazine, refining her editorial and communication skills.

Raihan Vadra has shared a profound passion for photography since he was young, focusing on various themes like wildlife, street, and commercial photography. An eye injury sustained during a cricket match led him to explore black-and-white photography, leveraging shadows to add emotional depth to his work. His inaugural solo exhibition at Bikaner House in New Delhi was a significant turning point in his artistic career.

With encouragement from his mother, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Raihan actively hones his craft, drawing inspiration from his grandfather, the late Rajiv Gandhi, who held a keen interest in photography.

The engagement of Raihan Vadra and Aviva Baig heralds an exciting new chapter as they prepare to journey through life together, celebrating their artistic talents and strong familial roots.
