On April 17, 2026, Adylbek Kasymaliev engaged in a significant dialogue with Masato Kanda in Washington, USA, as part of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group. Their discussions centered on enhancing economic collaboration and development efforts.

Kasymaliev showcased Kyrgyzstan's impressive economic trajectory, reporting an average annual GDP growth exceeding 10 percent over recent years, culminating at 11.1 percent by the close of 2025.

He pointed out that international evaluations placed Kyrgyzstan among the top three countries for real GDP growth in 2024, a testament to the nation's effective reforms aimed at fostering economic advancement.

A significant portion of the discussions delved into Kyrgyzstan's goal of evolving into a transport and logistics hub by 2030. Plans are underway to bolster infrastructure and connectivity, establishing the country as a crucial node in regional trade.

Kasymaliev expressed gratitude for the Asian Development Bank's involvement, highlighting the National Electronic Logistics Platform project aimed at integrating transport systems and enabling seamless digital information sharing among logistics participants.

In reply, Kanda commended Kyrgyzstan's reform initiatives and economic strides. He reiterated the Asian Development Bank's dedication to supporting the nation’s key sectors, including infrastructure and digital transformation.

This meeting symbolizes the strengthening relationship between Kyrgyzstan and global financial entities, with objectives set to boost economic expansion, improve regional connectivity, and ensure sustainable development strategies.
