A crucial humanitarian airlift from Sharjah International Airport has successfully delivered 100 tonnes of vital food supplies to the Gaza Strip, underscoring the UAE's unwavering commitment to relief efforts.
This mission is part of the “Humaid Air Bridge” initiative, endorsed by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, in partnership with the charitable campaign Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
Relief officials report that this effort aims to alleviate the mounting struggles faced by countless families in Gaza as humanitarian conditions worsen. The initiative encompasses a broad spectrum of support initiatives, extending beyond food provisions.
Included in these efforts is the dispatch of a UAE field hospital, alongside a floating medical facility located in Egypt's Al Arish. Together, they offer a total of 100 beds staffed by specialized medical personnel. Moreover, six desalination plants have been set up to guarantee access to clean drinking water daily.
Officials also noted that the UAE's total humanitarian assistance to Gaza has surpassed 122,000 tonnes, with a monetary value exceeding $3 billion, highlighting the significant and ongoing nature of its support.
The International Charity Organisation is further aiding through coordinated air and sea missions to ensure the delivery of critical supplies to at-risk communities.
Additionally, an aid vessel carrying food and resources valued at over AED 8 million is also being sent as part of Ajman’s humanitarian initiatives.
The UAE continues to expand its relief efforts through integrated air and sea logistics, emphasizing its dedication to supporting affected populations in Gaza during this ongoing crisis.
