Tragic Loss of Two Sisters in Lucknow Linked to Pet Dog's Illness

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

A heartbreaking episode transpired in Lucknow where two sisters in their early twenties were found dead, with police exploring possible suicide driven by overwhelming emotional distress related to the illness of their beloved pet dog.

Family sources indicate that the sisters—aged 22 and 24—had a close relationship with their German Shepherd, who had been ailing for an extended period. Despite receiving medical attention, the dog's condition sadly deteriorated, deeply affecting the sisters.

Their mother informed law enforcement that the young women had previously faced mental health challenges, which made them especially susceptible during such emotional turmoil. She noted they were struggling to handle the thought of losing their furry companion.

On Thursday, just before noon, their mother asked the sisters to go out for groceries. Shortly after their return, both collapsed. Emergency services rushed them to a local hospital, where the older sister was pronounced dead. The younger sibling remained under observation for hours but sadly did not survive.

Medical practitioners suspect poisoning as a possible cause of death. A preliminary search in their residence led police to discover a container of household chemicals, prompting an intensified inquiry into the events surrounding their deaths.

Inspector Suresh Singh of Para Police Station acknowledged the distress reported by family members regarding the pet’s health prior to the deaths. The bodies were subsequently returned to the family after necessary post-mortem procedures, with legal processes still underway.

Authorities have commenced a thorough investigation to clarify the circumstances and eliminate any alternative scenarios. This incident underscores the critical need for mental health awareness and prompt emotional support, especially among young adults grappling with grief and psychological challenges.
