Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd has concluded a remarkable 2025, underscoring its expanding role in the global aviation industry, characterized by significant acquisitions and fleet growth.
A pivotal event was DAE Capital's finalization of the $2.0 billion acquisition of Nordic Aviation Capital, significantly enhancing DAE's aircraft portfolio and strengthening its standings among elite aircraft lessors worldwide.
In total, DAE Capital added 280 aircraft to its fleet throughout 2025, with 261 owned and 19 managed. The company also optimized its portfolio by selling 112 aircraft, comprising 95 owned and 17 managed assets. Moreover, leasing activities remained robust, facilitating 273 lease agreements, extensions, and amendments across its fleet.
DAE executed several noteworthy transactions, including a long-term sale and leaseback arrangement with United Airlines for 10 Boeing 737-9 aircraft. Additionally, the firm successfully implemented a long-term lease of 10 Boeing 737-8 aircraft with AJet and priced a $610 million multi-tranche aircraft ABS transaction for a client asset it manages.
Furthermore, DAE Engineering had a productive year, recording over 1.8 million man-hours and conducting upwards of 320 aircraft checks for more than 60 airline clients from more than 30 countries. The division's capacity improved with the launch of a new five-bay hangar, elevating its overall operational capability by 30 percent.
On the financial side, DAE fortified its foundation by securing $3.9 billion in debt financing, featuring a weighted average maturity of 5.3 years. The company also ventured into the sukuk market with a $650 million five-year benchmark issuance, earning a Positive Outlook from KBRA, indicative of confidence in its credit standing.
Overall, DAE's 2025 results reveal a year of consistent execution and strategic growth across its primary aviation sectors, marked by strong fleet expansion and active capital market participation.
