His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Judicial Council, was present at the Partners Forum event held at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem of the UAE, followed by a reading from the Holy Quran, establishing a dignified atmosphere among distinguished officials and leaders in the judiciary.
Visionary Growth in Judicial Leadership
During the event, Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, who heads the Judicial Department, reaffirmed that the persistent enhancement of Sharjah’s judicial framework is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. He asserted that the foundation of law plays a vital role in safeguarding rights and promoting justice.
He explained that substantial modernization within the judicial system has been pivotal in boosting efficiency and raising the standard of judicial services, which aligns with the emirate’s aspirations for the future.
Pioneering Digital Justice Initiatives
Al Kaabi pointed out the shift towards a contemporary “Digital Justice” paradigm, where innovative digital litigation systems have revolutionized conventional judicial practices. This system prioritizes users, enhancing accessibility, expediting processes, and increasing transparency.
He highlighted that this progress resulted from robust collaborations among internal teams and strategic allies, transforming operational challenges into creative digital strategies.
Future-Oriented Judicial Strategy
The Judicial Department has shared its forward-looking strategy focusing on “Judicial Foresight,” which aims to integrate emerging technologies and fortify institutional collaboration, striving for excellence in service delivery throughout the judiciary.
Achievements and Collaborative Efforts
Presentations at the forum highlighted significant accomplishments, including the establishment of 14 internal working teams aimed at increasing operational efficiency. The presentations also noted extensive collaboration with federal and local bodies to foster knowledge sharing, digital integration, and development of human resources.
Several partnerships were formalized to enhance institutional collaboration.
Introduction of Digital Rental Disputes Platform
In a notable advancement, the Deputy Ruler launched the Digital Rental Disputes Platform, intended to digitize the entire process of resolving rental disputes. This platform facilitates virtual hearings and the safe issuance and archiving of judicial decisions within a digital framework.
This initiative was developed in partnership with the “Aqari” platform from the Sharjah Digital Department, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards digital judicial transformation.
Positive Indicators in the Rental Market
The forum also presented insights from 2025 showing over 360,000 registered rental contracts, indicative of robust real estate engagement in the emirate. Moreover, the Rental Disputes Centre effectively resolved over 15,000 cases, illustrating enhanced efficiency in conflict resolution.
Acknowledging Key Partners
The ceremony concluded with the recognition of strategic partners and organizations that have significantly contributed to the advancement of the judicial system. Commemorative shields were awarded to promote ongoing collaboration in strengthening the governmental frameworks in Sharjah.
The gathering attracted high-ranking officials, including members of the ruling family, heads of government departments, judicial leaders, and delegates from federal and regional entities.
