Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's patronage saw the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) honor 34 outstanding winners at the esteemed Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award during its fourth edition.
Held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the event attracted senior officials, ministers, and notable figures. The award celebrates remarkable contributions to agriculture while enhancing the UAE's food security initiatives.
Growth Reflected in Participation
Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri reported an impressive 476 main award submissions and 3,395 entries in related categories for this edition. He mentioned that winners were chosen based on thorough criteria, focusing on production quality, sustainability, and resource efficiency.
He highlighted that the global supply chain disruptions have underscored the necessity for local agricultural production, making this initiative crucial for long-term sustainability.
Visionary Leadership Fostering Agricultural Excellence
Officials commended Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision for fortifying critical sectors like agriculture, along with Sheikh Mansour's continued support, which spurs innovation and empowers local farmers.
Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi noted a marked increase in Emirati women and youth engagement, emphasizing their adoption of modern technology and their leadership in sustainable farming practices.
