Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, has lauded Qatar for its outstanding management of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, emphasizing that the tournament was facilitated with the utmost international standards. He commended Qatar for its meticulous planning, discipline, and professionalism throughout the event. The seamless execution of matches, cutting-edge stadiums, and robust logistical arrangements contributed to a premier football experience that captivated teams, officials, and fans alike.
Sheikh Salman pointed out that Qatar's modern sports infrastructure and extensive experience in hosting major events were pivotal to the Arab Cup's success. He highlighted that every operational aspect was managed meticulously, ensuring that both players and fans enjoyed a secure and high-caliber football experience. According to him, this tournament has further solidified Qatar's image as a premier host for significant global sporting events.
Additionally, the AFC President noted the fruitful collaboration among FIFA, regional football entities, and national federations. He stated that this cooperation has significantly elevated the tournament's standard. He explained that regional competitions like the Arab Cup are crucial for teams as they enhance experience, foster competitiveness, cultivate emerging football talent, and instill values of respect and sportsmanship among players and their supporters.
Sheikh Salman extended his congratulations to Morocco for clinching the championship with an exhilarating 3-2 win over Jordan in the final. He regarded Morocco’s triumph as an emblem of their high technical capabilities, coordinated teamwork, and consistent performance throughout the tournament. He remarked that this victory signifies the positive growth and increasing international stature of Moroccan football.
He also commended Jordan for securing the runner-up position in the tournament, noting that their performance demonstrated significant growth and determination. Sheikh Salman recognized that Jordanian football is making commendable strides, with ambitious goals both regionally and internationally. He added that reaching the final was a noteworthy achievement for Jordan, reflecting their steady advancement in the football arena.
