In a momentous celebration, the United Arab Emirates recognized the 54th Eid Al Etihad, signifying a year filled with impactful achievements and global acknowledgment. The Year of Community, 2025, has seen the nation enhance its stance as a dominant economic and social force, making impressive strides in technology, humanitarian efforts, and societal well-being.

A Year of Breakthroughs in Space

The UAE’s ambitions in space exploration reached new heights in 2025, with the successful launch of six satellites, including Thuraya 4, MBZ-SAT, and others as part of a broader national strategy. The Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt (EMA) moved into its final design phase, marking a significant step toward interplanetary exploration.

In collaboration with ICEYE, three SAR satellites—Foresight-3, Foresight-4, and Foresight-5—were successfully launched into low Earth orbit. Moreover, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre completed its Rashid 2 rover, further enhancing the UAE's position as a leader in regional space innovation.

Empowering Women and Fostering Community Growth

2025 marked a pivotal year for empowering Emirati women, as the UAE achieved the highest regional ranking and placed 13th globally in the UNDP Gender Inequality Index. Three Emirati women joined the prestigious World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders Council 2025, reflecting the nation's investment in cultivating future leaders.

The Mother of the Nation's 50:50 Vision was launched, introducing initiatives across family, governance, and international partnerships, underlining the UAE’s dedication to inclusive societal growth and stability.

Advances in Urban Development and Housing

To fortify family stability, the UAE implemented extensive housing programs. The Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme provided 2,971 housing approvals amounting to AED2.07 billion, including new financial support intended for senior citizens.

Abu Dhabi revealed plans for 13 residential communities, creating over 40,000 homes and plots for citizens, with a total investment of AED106 billion. In Dubai, housing projects exceeding AED5.4 billion were announced, alongside a package of more than 1,100 residential units totaling AED2 billion. Sharjah also granted 3,500 plots for various residential and investment needs, ensuring greater housing accessibility.

Global Engagement and Humanitarian Leadership

On the global scheme, the UAE affirmed its stance as an economic leader and humanitarian powerhouse. Through strategic alliances and international programs, the country’s global influence is expanding, showcasing a forward-thinking vision for sustainable progress and diplomacy.

The celebration of the 54th Eid Al Etihad not only emphasized national unity but also underscored the UAE’s accomplishments in space exploration, social empowerment, housing initiatives, and global leadership, paving the way for a promising future characterized by innovation, stability, and progress.
