His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has expressed profound condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, in light of the passing of Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah. Al Attiyah, a distinguished former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, was a central figure in Qatar’s growth.
In his heartfelt message, Sheikh Mohamed sent his sympathies to the Emir, the Al Attiyah family, as well as the people of Qatar, invoking prayers for the late statesman's soul and strength for those grieving.
A key player in Qatar’s energy advancements, Abdullah Al Attiyah significantly impacted the nation's economic progress, leading the charge in the oil and gas industry and establishing Qatar's prominence as a major energy producer globally.
Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also conveyed a message of condolences to Sheikh Tamim in acknowledgment of this loss.
In a similar gesture, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, shared his condolences with the Emir and offered support to the bereaved family.
