UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 Open in Abu Dhabi

Post by : Raina Nasser

Abu Dhabi: The seventh edition of the UAE Government Annual Meetings opened on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Running from November 4 to 6, the high-level forum brings together more than 500 senior figures from federal and local authorities to harmonise strategy, review implementation and accelerate priority programmes across the nation.

This year's programme emphasises emerging and strategic sectors — notably artificial intelligence, healthcare, investment and family welfare — which officials say are central to the UAE’s sustainable development and international competitiveness.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, highlighted that the meetings reaffirm the government's commitment to proactive governance and to enhancing citizens' quality of life. He said the sessions are tailored to boost innovation, improve institutional coordination and strengthen national cohesion.

Agenda items include strategic briefings, leadership roundtables and a dedicated session on shaping the UAE's global narrative. Organisers also expect the launch of several initiatives designed to advance the country’s transition to a knowledge-driven economy.

The closing programme will feature awards recognising outstanding contributions in culture, creativity and artificial intelligence, celebrating teams and projects that have driven measurable national progress.

First held in 2017, the UAE Government Annual Meetings serve as a platform to align government action and expedite the objectives of the 'We the UAE 2031' strategy and the UAE Centennial 2071 vision.
