Sheikh Khaled Urges Stronger Global Economy at APEC Forum

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, emphasized the urgent need to build an integrated global economic system during his address at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum held in Gyeongju, South Korea.

Speaking on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khaled underlined the UAE’s strong support for a multilateral economic system open to regional and international markets. He stressed that such a system is vital to overcoming global economic challenges, fostering stability, and safeguarding shared interests.

Sheikh Khaled called for enhanced international cooperation to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth. He highlighted the importance of transforming competitive advantages into bridges for new partnerships, especially in strategic sectors such as advanced technologies, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, precision industries, and healthcare.

The Crown Prince reiterated the UAE’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development and shared prosperity, reaffirming the country’s role as a proactive partner in driving global economic progress.

The APEC forum, where the UAE participated as a guest of honour at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, serves as a crucial platform for dialogue to expand trade and boost joint investments across priority sectors.

Sheikh Khaled’s participation underscores the UAE’s growing influence on the global economic stage and its dedication to fostering collaboration among nations to navigate complex economic landscapes.

With a focus on openness, multilateralism, and innovation, the Crown Prince’s message at APEC reflects the UAE’s vision to build resilient economic partnerships that benefit all participating nations.
