H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain, made a heartfelt visit to the Al Fakhr Winter Camp for the sons of martyrs located in Remah. This camp, organized by the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office in collaboration with the Emirates Falconers’ Club and Mohamed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School (FDPS), will continue until 12th December 2025.
During his visit, Sheikh Hazza participated in a range of activities, highlighting an educational session organized with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation. This session underscored the significance of Houbara bustards along with contemporary methods for their conservation.
The camp also features a variety of sports and leisure activities, including a football tournament and a virtual reality hunting experience, designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the participants.
Sheikh Hazza expressed that supporting the sons of martyrs is a crucial national duty within the UAE, guided by President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He pointed out that the UAE actively designs initiatives aimed at developing skills among the children of fallen heroes, stimulating youth-driven projects, and fostering creativity and leadership skills.
He further mentioned that the camp epitomizes the UAE’s commitment to empowering youth, which is essential for the country’s advancement. Investing in young people is pivotal for the nation’s future, enhancing its cultural and developmental aspirations while safeguarding its national accomplishments.
Sheikh Hazza was accompanied by Sheikh Zayed bin Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, the Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office.
The camp enjoys the support of several prominent organizations dedicated to nurturing youth leadership, including the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.
At the Al Fakhr Winter Camp – Remah, 63 sons of martyrs aged between 12 and 16 are participating. The program comprises diverse educational sessions focused on Emirati culture, falconry, coffee preparation workshops, sports, recreational pursuits, heritage education, scientific talent cultivation, and healthy nutrition awareness.
