In a recent meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the commitment to innovation and practical training at the Academy was underscored.
During this meeting, the Academy’s progress in establishing a well-rounded security education approach was discussed, highlighting the importance of effective instruction paired with real-world application. The leadership commended the Academy’s educators for their dedication to advancing academic, research, and training initiatives that align with the future-focused vision of the Emirate.
Elevating Training and Educational Standards
Key discussions revolved around upcoming development projects aimed at enhancing educational and practical training frameworks. A major feature was the counter-terrorism program developed in collaboration with France’s RAID unit, which offered advanced training in crisis management, tactical operations, and assessment shooting.
The Academy is also embracing digital transformation through its Virtual Centre for Education and Training, creating an engaging atmosphere where students can participate in a blend of virtual simulations and hands-on practice. Additionally, an innovative virtual book project is set to merge academic concepts with experiential knowledge, encouraging heightened student involvement.
Cultural Representation and Global Engagement
Recently, the Academy’s musical band showcased the UAE at the Spasskaya International Festival in Moscow, demonstrating Emirati heritage while highlighting the professionalism of its members, which received acclaim globally.
The Council also evaluated cadet admissions, academic promotions, and proposals for expanding training collaborations. Outstanding students were awarded medals in recognition of their accomplishments, showcasing the Academy’s dedication to fostering future leaders in security and public safety.
