Shaqueel Van Persie Celebrates Senior Debut with Feyenoord at Just 19

At merely 19 years old, Shaqueel Van Persie, son of the renowned Robin Van Persie, proudly made his senior debut for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. Shaqueel signed his initial professional contract in 2022 and was recently elevated to the first-team roster. Unfortunately, Shaqueel's debut didn’t sway the match’s outcome. Barely a minute after he entered, Celtic's Benjamin Nygren secured a third goal, ending Feyenoord's hopes. Nonetheless, Robin Van Persie acknowledged the significance of this moment for both his son and the team’s future. “For a father, your son making his debut is always a cherished memory. But I focused on my responsibilities just as Shaqueel did,” he remarked.
