Renowned musician Raghu Dixit has officially entered into matrimony with his partner, the talented Varijashree Venugopal, on October 14, 2025. The private ceremony, embraced by close family and friends, quickly garnered attention on social media with its heartfelt celebrations.
On October 25, Raghu posted a touching message on Instagram alongside his new wife, stating, “To Joy and Togetherness! Grateful to embark on this new adventure with the blessings from our families and loved ones. Love and Light Vari & Ragh.”
What began as a beautiful friendship between Raghu and Varijashree blossomed into love, leading them to take this significant step together.
The ceremony featured many stars, including actress Yamuna Srinidhi, who shared moments of the joyous occasion online. Raghu donned an elegant yellow vesthi with maroon accents, while Varijashree looked stunning in an orange saree complemented by a blue blouse and traditional jewelry. Their radiant joy was evident in the wedding images, showcasing their participation in various rituals alongside close friends like Ayyo Shraddha.
Earlier this year, Raghu celebrated Varijashree’s Grammy nomination on social media, referring to her as a dear friend and expressing pride in their strong bond.
Raghu was formerly married to choreographer Mayuri Upadhyay, a union that began in 2005 but concluded in divorce by 2019 after years of separation. Despite the private nature of their split, Raghu remarked on his struggles to be the partner Mayuri deserved.
Notably, during the time allegations surfaced against Raghu from Chinmayi Sripada, Mayuri clarified that these were separate from their separation issues and called for serious actions against misconduct. Raghu stated, “I am finalizing my divorce. We haven’t been together for three years. She’s wonderful, and I couldn’t fulfill my role as a husband well enough.”
