His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, met with His Excellency Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue 2025. The meeting brought together senior officials, ministers, and representatives from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab countries to discuss major regional and international issues.

During the discussion, both leaders highlighted the importance of regional dialogue in promoting understanding, cooperation, and trust among GCC nations. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening political coordination and unity within the GCC framework. Prince Salman and Minister Al Muraikhi agreed that strong cooperation among Gulf countries is essential to ensure collective security and sustainable development.

The Manama Dialogue, hosted annually in Bahrain, serves as a global platform for addressing regional stability, security, and diplomatic relations. It gathers leaders, policymakers, and experts to share perspectives and propose solutions for peace and cooperation in the Gulf and beyond. The 2025 edition focuses on defense strategies, economic resilience, and shared prosperity across the region.

Prince Salman underscored the importance of unity among GCC countries as a foundation for regional progress. He noted that continued dialogue and mutual respect among member states are crucial to tackling shared challenges, such as economic diversification, sustainable growth, and security threats. The Crown Prince also reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for GCC integration and stronger collaboration across political, economic, and social sectors.

Minister Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi expressed Qatar’s appreciation for Bahrain’s leadership in hosting the Manama Dialogue. He emphasized that the conference provides a valuable opportunity for open and constructive engagement among regional and international leaders. Minister Al Muraikhi also reiterated Qatar’s commitment to working closely with GCC partners to enhance prosperity, peace, and development.

Both sides agreed that maintaining security and stability in the Gulf region remains a shared priority. They discussed ways to expand economic partnerships, promote cultural exchange, and support initiatives aimed at achieving a sustainable and prosperous future for GCC citizens. Their conversation reflected a common understanding that diplomacy and cooperation are key to overcoming regional challenges.

Prince Salman and Minister Al Muraikhi exchanged views on global developments and their implications for the Gulf. They agreed on the need for regular consultation among GCC members to address international challenges such as economic fluctuations, energy transitions, and humanitarian crises. Both leaders highlighted the importance of coordinated positions in multilateral organizations to amplify the Gulf’s voice in global decision-making.

The Manama Dialogue has grown into one of the most respected diplomatic gatherings in the Middle East. It provides a neutral platform for peaceful dialogue between Gulf states and their international partners, encouraging collaboration on security, economic development, and regional peace. The 2025 conference once again underlines the GCC’s shared goal of advancing stability through diplomacy and mutual understanding.

Prince Salman reiterated Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to peace and cooperation across the Arab world. He emphasized that dialogue remains the best path toward resolving differences and building trust among neighboring countries. His remarks reflected Bahrain’s vision of fostering constructive relationships based on respect and shared values.

The meeting between Prince Salman and Minister Al Muraikhi symbolizes a renewed sense of unity and collaboration within the Gulf Cooperation Council. It highlights the growing awareness among GCC nations that collective strength lies in continued dialogue and cooperation. As the Manama Dialogue 2025 progresses, it reinforces the region’s shared ambition—to build a stable, secure, and prosperous Gulf that thrives through partnership and peace.
