On November 27, Portugal achieved a momentous win at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, claiming a 1–0 victory over Austria at Al Khalifa Stadium in Doha. The solitary goal was netted by Anisio Cabral of Benfica, who played a pivotal role throughout the competition. After a goalless encounter, Portugal prevailed 6–5 in a tense penalty shootout, earning their spot in the final.

The final against Austria was fiercely contested. Anisio Cabral's 32nd-minute strike became the winning goal.
