A 30-year-old Indian national was discovered deceased in Toronto, Canada, in what authorities suspect to be a case of intimate partner violence. A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for a 32-year-old male suspect in connection with this tragic event.

Police were notified late Friday evening, around 10:40 pm, regarding a missing woman in the vicinity of Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West. Officers promptly initiated an investigation to locate her.

The woman's body was found early Saturday morning at approximately 6:30 am within a residential property. Authorities confirmed it as a homicide, leading the Homicide Unit to take over the inquiry.

The victim has been identified as Himanshi Khurana, originally from India. It is believed that the suspect, Abdul Ghafoori, was acquainted with her and that they had a personal relationship. Police have released images of both the victim and the suspect, calling on the public for help in identifying the accused's whereabouts.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect's location to contact them immediately, emphasizing that public assistance is vital for the ongoing investigation.

In response to the incident, the Consulate General of India in Toronto expressed profound shock and extended condolences to Khurana's family. The consulate is coordinating closely with local authorities to provide support to the grieving family during this challenging period.
