Representing India at the 74th Miss Universe competition held in Thailand, Manika Vishwakarma has captivated audiences with her graceful demeanor, articulate responses, and strong advocacy. Her participation stands out not only for her striking looks but also for her intellectual engagement and commitment to various social issues.
To celebrate Indian craftsmanship, she chose an exquisite peacock green saree for her official introduction on the Miss Universe Organisation's Instagram. Made from lightweight chiffon, this six-yard garment showcases elaborate gold zari embroidery, sparkling sequin details, a scalloped hem, and floral patterns that reflect traditional artistry.
To complete her look, Manika donned a matching peacock green blouse featuring a wide bateau neckline and a daring backless design, fastened with elegant dori ties. The fitted cropped hem brought a contemporary twist to the classic ensemble. Her accessories included a stunning choker, coordinated earrings, kadhas, and a mang tika, all embellished with brilliant crystals and emeralds that enriched her regal appearance.
Manika’s makeup was both glamorous and understated, featuring defined eyebrows, shimmering gold eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, mascara-coated lashes, rosy cheeks, a radiant highlighter, and glossy coral pink lips, topped off with a delicate bindi. A centre-parted braided hairstyle completed this traditional yet modern look.
The Miss Universe Organisation also shone a light on her accomplishments and unique aspects of her character. As a political science major, an award-winning artist, and an advocate for neurodiversity through her initiative Neuronova, she also volunteers in rural clinics to enhance women's healthcare access, exemplifying her commitment to social causes alongside her modeling pursuits.
Through her elegance, style, and advocacy, Manika Vishwakarma continues to represent India with dignity and resolve on the global stage of Miss Universe, captivating hearts with her beauty and dedication to significant causes.
