Manchester City has unveiled its Annual Report for 2024–25, revealing impressive revenues of £694.1 million, marking the third-highest in the club's history. While the financial results were strong, the season ended with a slight loss of £9.9 million.
On the pitch, City finished third in the Premier League, securing a Champions League spot for the 15th consecutive time. However, the team faced a trophy drought for the first time in eight years, largely attributed to injuries to key players.
Despite the setbacks, the club made significant investments in its squad. Notably, Erling Haaland committed his future to the team with a long-term contract, reinforcing confidence in City's stability and long-term strategy.
On the administrative side, significant changes occurred as long-standing football director Txiki Begiristain departed after 13 years. Hugo Viana was appointed to ensure continuity. Additionally, club icon Kevin De Bruyne also exited after a decade at City.
The report emphasized the progress made in infrastructure and community initiatives. The £300 million North Stand project continues to develop, alongside a new hotel partnership. Rodri made history as the first City player to win the Ballon d’Or. The club's academy, women's football efforts, charitable programs, and global social media engagement all indicated robust growth, underscoring the enduring strength of Manchester City.
