Hatta Festival 2025 Celebrates Local Entrepreneurship

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The Government of Dubai Media Office's Brand Dubai has announced a remarkable presence of local entrepreneurs at Hatta Festival 2025, featuring over 30 businesses from the 'Proudly from Dubai' network displaying their unique products.

As part of the #HattaWinter initiative, Hatta Festival runs from 5 December 2025 to 20 January 2026 and is one of six pivotal events under the wider Dubai Destinations campaign. The festival emphasizes local products, innovative experiences, and concepts that showcase the authentic Emirati culture, providing attendees with a rich cultural and leisure experience.

This year's festival represents an expansion of previous iterations, reflecting Brand Dubai's dedication to supporting entrepreneurship and enhancing small and medium-sized enterprises. By offering prominent platforms at seasonal events, Brand Dubai aims to bolster the visibility of local brands and enhance their market reach.

Amina Taher, from the #HattaWinter Initiative Organising Committee, stated that the festival aims to further highlight Hatta as a premier winter tourism location. She emphasized its role in cultivating sustainable economic value by enabling small businesses to showcase their quality offerings to a broad and diverse audience. This strategy aligns with Dubai's overarching goal to nurture emerging businesses and broaden growth avenues for local initiatives.

Taher noted that Dubai cultivates a supportive environment for enterprising ideas, allowing local projects to evolve into recognized brands globally. The considerable turnout since the festival's inception on 5 December points to a rising consumer confidence and a growing appetite for locally-made products.

Khawla Al Hashmi, another committee member, commented that Hatta Festival serves as a critical platform for emerging entrepreneurs to exhibit their creativity to a diverse audience. She pointed out that this event significantly contributes to bolstering Hatta's economy, emphasizing its rise as a vital tourist hub.

Al Hashmi further suggested that the festival empowers members of the 'Proudly from Dubai' network to unveil innovative products to an extensive audience, reinforcing local entrepreneurship from both Dubai and Hatta while promoting the presence of local creative projects in one of the UAE's prime winter venues. She reiterated Brand Dubai's commitment to drawing in new projects each year and fostering an environment conducive to sustainable growth.

The 2025 edition of Hatta Festival also introduces the 'Hatta Little Trader' initiative, allowing children to share their entrepreneurial skills alongside local artistic creations. This year features projects by Latifa Salem Al Bedwawi, Reem Wajood Al Dahmani, and Khalifa Nasser Al Kaabi, coupled with contributions from Hamid Al Bloushi showcasing local artistic works.

To enhance visitor enjoyment, mobile food trucks stationed around Leem Lake serve a variety of innovative snacks and beverages. Over the years, Hatta Festival has evolved into a major seasonal draw, attracting thousands who come to enjoy winter activities while exploring local offerings from the 'Proudly from Dubai' initiative.

The #HattaWinter initiative is executed by Brand Dubai in partnership with key government agencies including the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the Community Development Authority, the Dubai Sports Council, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

These combined efforts highlight Dubai's commitment to enriching the creative economy and establishing Hatta as a family-friendly destination that harmonizes nature, adventure, and local culture.
