The Liwa International Festival is set to return from 12 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, offering 23 days of entertainment, adventure, and cultural experiences in the golden dunes of the Al Dhafra Region.

This festival has become one of the UAE's most anticipated annual events, merging heritage, family enjoyment, and thrilling motorsport action set against the stunning backdrop of Tal Moreeb, the tallest dune in the nation.

The event kicks off with a spectacular performance by Forsan Al Emarat, the official aerobatics team of the UAE Air Force. Fireworks, light displays, and drone shows will illuminate the desert sky, inviting all to the celebrations.

This opening ceremony signals the start of a festival that beautifully integrates contemporary entertainment with traditional Emirati culture, creating memorable experiences for attendees of all ages.

Motorsport remains a central theme, featuring highlights such as Freestyle Drift on 12–13 and 22–23 December, the Spartan Race Liwa on 13 December, Bike Drag Racing on 14 December, and the Car Stunt Championship on 19–20 December.

A new addition this year, the Extreme Mudfest promises an exhilarating motorsport experience on 19–20 December. Additional events include the Liwa Drift, Monster Jam, Tal Moreeb Car Championship, Liwa Burnout Championship, and Sand Wrestling, ensuring excitement for all motorsport enthusiasts.

The festival also pays homage to UAE heritage, with demonstrations such as falconry from 15–17 December, a Souk Zone with pop-up heritage shops, pigeon hunt competitions, and traditional crafts.

Families can dive into culture at Liwa Village, enjoying water karting, carnival rides, pony rides, ziplines, and various skill games. Other attractions encompass the Classic Car Museum, Auto Zone, Horror Escape Room, Smash Room, and a petting zoo, catering to both children and adults.

Daily Dune Projection Shows, Drone Shows, and Hot Air Balloons add a magical atmosphere, while food stalls present a mix of Emirati and international cuisines to satisfy visitors.

Beyond motorsports, the festival includes events like the Liwa Running Challenge, Liwa Cycling Race, Liwa UTV, Liwa Padel Championship, and weekend football competitions. Boxing events are scheduled for 15–21 December, with the Jetour Travel Conference set for 19–21 December.

These activities promote participation, fitness, and community bonding, enhancing the festival's vibrant atmosphere.

The New Year’s Eve celebration promises a memorable experience. On 31 December, the Tal Moreeb Car Championship will run for three days, complemented by a concert and a fireworks show.

Visitors can usher in 2026 amidst music, adventure, and the stunning desert landscape of Al Dhafra Region.

From falconry displays and handicrafts to motorsports and thrilling challenges, the Liwa International Festival encapsulates the UAE’s rich heritage, innovation, and community spirit.

This event offers a unique fusion of tradition and modern entertainment, ensuring a delightful experience filled with culture, adventure, music, and family fun in one of the UAE’s most breathtaking desert environments.
