KSrelief Initiates Winter Clothing Support for Syrian Families

Post by : Mara Rahim

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has introduced a new initiative named Kanaf aimed at assisting vulnerable Syrians during the winter months. This project was officially inaugurated via videoconference with a civil society organization, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian endeavors.

The winter Clothing Distribution Project will aid numerous individuals residing in various Syrian governorates, such as Daraa, Rif Dimashq, Idlib, Aleppo, and Latakia. These areas harbor many internally displaced families enduring harsh conditions as temperatures plummet. The initiative aims to distribute 21,051 vouchers, enabling recipients to select warm attire from authorized retailers. This approach offers families the autonomy to choose necessary items, including jackets, sweaters, and children's winter garments.

The Kanaf project specifically targets those hit hardest by economic woes and severe weather. Numerous Syrian households struggle to purchase vital winter essentials, and the situation is exacerbated in camps where heating and proper shelter remain scarce. Through this intervention, KSrelief aspires to alleviate the burden of the frigid winter and enhance living standards for those in need.

This endeavor underscores Saudi Arabia’s enduring dedication to global humanitarian efforts. By providing timely assistance and pragmatic solutions, KSrelief continues to support Syrian families facing adversity, enabling them to navigate challenging times with dignity.
