Jordan kicked off their FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 campaign with a confident victory, defeating the United Arab Emirates 2-1 at Al Bayt Stadium. However, head coach Jamal Sellami was quick to temper excitement, asserting that his team should not be labeled favorites for the tournament. Yazan Al Naimat, chosen as the man of the match, lauded his teammates and asserted that the win was well-earned. “This victory fuels our motivation for the next matches,” he stated. He added that the squad is committed to continued good performances to uplift their supporters.

Al Naimat further underscored the camaraderie and ambition within the team, focusing on constant improvement with each match, and hopes to advance to the later rounds.
