On Tuesday, the Israeli military said that it was trying to stop a missile that was fired from Yemen toward Israel. This happened just a few hours after Israeli navy ships launched attacks on targets in the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah, which is along the Red Sea.
The group behind the missile attack is the Houthi movement in Yemen. They are supported by Iran and have said they are attacking Israel to show support for the people of Gaza. The Houthis have been launching missiles and drones toward Israel for some time now.
In response to these attacks, Israel has warned the Houthis that if they continue, there will be serious consequences. Israel said it may set up a naval and air blockade against Yemen. This means they could stop things like ships and planes from going in and out of Yemen.
The situation is getting more serious as both sides continue to exchange threats and attacks. Israel has made it clear that it will not accept attacks from Yemen and is ready to take stronger action if needed.
