The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has updated its predictions, confirming that the southwest monsoon is now anticipated to arrive in Kerala on June 4, 2026. This announcement follows delays in weather conditions that previously suggested an earlier onset.

In India, the monsoon's arrival in Kerala is a significant meteorological event, signaling the start of the nation’s principal rainy season.
