Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Abu Dhabi has launched 'Creative Expressions,' an engaging exhibition that celebrates the nation's artistic talent, hosted by the Ministry of Culture. Running until January 9, 2026, at the National Theatre and the Abu Dhabi Cultural Centre, it provides a unique view into the evolving creative scene in the UAE.

This vibrant exhibition showcases the work of individuals supported by the Ministry’s pivotal programs, including participants from the National Grant Programme for Culture and Creativity, the Creative Market Programme, and the artist-in-residence initiative. Attendees can look forward to a rich variety of art forms, including literature, visual arts, performing arts, film, design, music, and video games.

One of the exhibition's distinguishing features is its emphasis on the artists' creative journeys. Visitors will have the opportunity to delve into the milestones, challenges, and inspirations that have defined the careers of the featured artists. Interactive sessions will foster engagement with the creators, allowing audiences to gain perspective on their artistic evolution, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to nurturing both local and resident talent.

The exhibition boasts a diverse lineup of Emirati and resident talent, including Azza Al Qubaisi, Ahmed Emad, Hessa Al Zaabi, Tala Hammoud Atrouni, Sara Al Rumaithi, Samia Saleh, and Mohamed Dardiri, among others. This collective array of voices encapsulates the UAE’s cultural identity and innovative spirit.

Additionally, Creative Expressions illustrates the Ministry's extensive support framework, encompassing everything from production grants to capacity-building initiatives, promotional efforts, and research projects. The exhibition highlights tangible results from these programs, showcasing how investments in creativity have bolstered the UAE’s cultural and economic landscape.

For attendees, this exhibition is not just an art display but an immersive narrative of creativity that illustrates how both local and resident artists are continuously reshaping the artistic fabric of the nation while driving innovation across various disciplines.
