The Government Housing Bank (GHB) of Thailand has introduced a significant mid-year auction, showcasing over 12,000 pre-owned homes throughout the nation. This initiative is designed to facilitate home ownership among Thai citizens while invigorating the real estate market.
Set for June 6, 2026, the auction encompasses a diverse selection of properties including single-family houses, townhouses, condominiums, commercial real estate, and parcels of land. GHB officials report that buyers can enjoy discounts reaching 50 percent below conventional market rates, marking this as one of the most substantial affordable housing initiatives of the year.
A standout feature of the event is the attractive financing option from the bank. Successful bidders who finalize agreements between June 8 and June 19, 2026, will qualify for a unique home loan offering a fixed interest rate of 0 percent for the initial two years. This scheme aims to ease financial burdens for first-time buyers and families aspiring to own homes.
In Bangkok and surrounding areas, over 1,000 properties are up for grabs. Noteworthy amongst them is a condominium in the Life Ratchadaphisek project, located in Huai Khwang, with a bid starting at 3.06 million baht. This prime urban condo boasts a living area of 31.74 square meters and exceptional access to transportation and public amenities.
In addition to Bangkok offerings, the auction will feature more than 11,000 homes from regional areas. Notable listings include a semi-detached house in Chonburi's Panacea Village, with a bid starting at 2.34 million baht, and a detached house in Nakhon Sawan's LTF Iceland 5 project, listed at 2.285 million baht. Both properties are conveniently located near key services and developed communities.
GHB has specified that all successful bidders must provide a security deposit to finalize their transactions. A deposit of 10,000 baht will be needed for typical properties, while those starting at 10 million baht will require a 100,000 baht deposit. Additionally, the first 60 highest bidders completing their agreements within the designated timeframe will receive complimentary home appliances as bonuses.
The auction operations will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with participant registration commencing at 8:00 AM. The auction for Bangkok properties will be hosted at the GHB Head Office, while regional property auctions will occur at provincial branches. Interested stakeholders can find further information via the GHB Call Center, the GHB ALL HOME app, their official Facebook page, and the bank’s online property portals.
