The finalists for the 16th edition of the GLOBE SOCCER Awards have been unveiled, with more than 30 million votes from fans worldwide determining the nominees. This high level of engagement reflects the excitement surrounding the prestigious awards.
The winners will be announced during an exclusive ceremony scheduled for Sunday, 28 December 2025, at the luxurious Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai. The event is anticipated to host top football talents, club executives, and legends, alongside emerging stars who are set to shape the future of the sport.
In total, fans participated in two rounds of public votes across nine primary categories such as Best Men’s Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Club, Best Women’s Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Emerging Player, and Best Middle East Player. Additional accolades, including Best Agent, Best Sporting Director, and lifetime achievement awards, will also be honored on this star-studded night.
Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning UEFA Champions League champions, have a notable presence among the final nominees. They are in the running for Best Men’s Club, competing against Barcelona, Chelsea, Flamengo, and Liverpool. PSG's Luis Enrique has been nominated for Best Coach, alongside Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Hansi Flick (Barcelona), and Enzo Maresca (Chelsea). Notably, PSG stars Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha are up for Best Men’s Player, competing against Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Barcelona’s Raphinha.
In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmatí from Barcelona Femení aims for a third consecutive Best Women’s Player trophy, facing contenders like Mariona Caldentey, Melchie Dumornay, Alexia Putellas, and Alessia Russo. The Best Women’s Club nominees include Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea FC, and Juventus, highlighting the competitive landscape of women's football.
Cristiano Ronaldo, representing Al Nassr and Portugal, has confirmed his attendance at the ceremony and is a finalist for Best Middle East Player, alongside Salem Al-Dawsari, Karim Benzema, and Riyad Mahrez, underscoring the burgeoning talent in the region.
Returning as the title sponsor, BEYOND Developments continues its support for the event for a second year. Numerous global brands from various sectors are also collaborating with the 2025 awards, contributing to one of football's premier celebrations.
Moreover, LaLiga will take advantage of the Dubai event to honor its 2024–2025 season winners, which include Raphinha (Best Player), Hansi Flick (Best Coach), Lamine Yamal (Best Emerging Player), Luka Sučić (Best Goal), and Jan Oblak (Best Save), further elevating the event's significance as a worldwide tribute to football excellence.
