Timčo Mucunski, North Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, joined by Abdulkader Mohamedi, the country's Ambassador to the UAE, and an official delegation. They toured various halls and external areas of the mosque and learned about its foundational goals of promoting coexistence, tolerance, and openness in society.

Hasher Aldhaheri, a Cultural Guide Specialist at the mosque, showcased the stunning architecture and artistic elements. He discussed how the mosque integrates diverse Islamic art and design styles, forming a visually captivating atmosphere that embodies the UAE’s dedication to cultural unity and creativity.

The delegation also paid respects at the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reflecting on his visionary leadership that has fostered a culture of peace within the UAE. Minister Mucunski expressed his admiration for the UAE’s leadership, noting that it’s a privilege to witness a unifying vision that fosters global respect. He commended the UAE for embodying the values instilled by Sheikh Zayed and wished it success in future endeavors.

As a token of gratitude, the delegation received a commemorative gift that symbolizes the mosque's artistic essence. They were also given a copy of “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace,” a publication that underscores the mosque’s architectural marvels and features award-winning photographs from the “Spaces of Light” competition. This visit provided profound insights into the mosque’s role as a beacon of harmony, art, and culture, leaving a significant impact on the visiting officials.
