Starting June 16, 2026, Etihad Airways will commence operations of its A380 aircraft on the route connecting Abu Dhabi International Airport with Tokyo’s Narita Airport, perfectly timed for the bustling summer travel period.
The A380 is famous for its lavish offerings, including the exclusive three-room suite in the sky, which ensures travelers enjoy a superior experience en route to Japan.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, highlighted that this move is in response to substantial customer demand for more seating options to Japan. He noted that the A380 is particularly suited for this route, reinforcing the vital business travel links between the UAE and Japan, nations celebrated for their robust economic and cultural interconnections.
This added capacity also opens up more possibilities for Japanese travelers to explore Abu Dhabi, whether as a stopover or a primary destination.
With the introduction of Tokyo, Etihad expands its A380 routes, complementing existing destinations such as London, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore. Reservations are now available, allowing travelers to indulge in the luxury services the airline is known for.
